Survivor Strain – Season 1 (Somewhere I Belong) – 0.9.9.9

It’s been two years since the so-called first wave, where hordes of infected got everything in their path. During this time, countries fought with all they had in order to stop it. Many succeded, and many were completely lost.
The story begins two years after those events in South America, in a resilient country at the south.
Due to the outbreak, several creatures and mutations have been spotted roaming in the so-called red zones, areas that were lost during the outbreak.
You will face several events while exploring these areas. People who prefer a lawless life and creatures evolved to hunt.
Only the bravest adventure there, but few people return, even though people do it out of necessity…
Changelog:
As many of you know, this update is a full polish of the entire season. I went through every single dialogue line, and everything should now feel much smoother and more natural. The original beta release still needed a lot of refinement, so this update focuses heavily on that.
I also fixed the old “pause” issue. I used to add pauses to almost every render so players could enjoy the visuals, but in the long run, it hurt the pacing. Now the scenes should feel more cinematic and fluid. Adult scenes still include pauses since they benefit from a slower rhythm.
Throughout the game, I added many new renders to make transitions smoother and enhance the overall experience.
All dialogues were improved and proofread by professional proofreaders.
In-game Walkthrough: I added a simple in-game walkthrough that you can turn on or off in the settings. It’s still basic for now, but I’ll expand it as I work on the next season.
One thing that still needs work is the codex. I’ll continue improving it while developing Season 2.
I’m sorry this update took longer than expected. Since I’ve been working part-time lately, progress slowed a bit, but I’ve still been giving it my 1000% to make sure we create something truly special.
The season will continue receiving small improvements as we move into translations, but nothing major — the big clean-up has already been done.
I really hope you enjoy this much more polished experience now. From the beginning, it should feel much better. I even added a nice song to the intro. I hope you enjoy it. This story is one I gave my heart to making. I really hope you can enjoy it as much as I enjoyed creating it.
