There is one minor bug involving the well in version 0.6.0.9. If you’ve put money in the well before, that option is now locked. That should be fixed in the next update.
disappointing from Faerin after MoH which was really good..this game maybe look better but the dialog is worse and the incest part is gone with or without the patch..the taboo is completely absent in the game..…..Faerin should know this and it’s not difficult to please both sides
I know this is a reply to an old post, however, I’ve been quite busy lately and haven’t had time to check the other forums. Having said that, may I remind you that Patreon (which Faerin has always used for games in development) expressly forbids games/AVNs with incest content. That includes the use of, or a link to a patch which changes the relationships between the MC and those closest to him. That’s been the case ever since Mr Dot’s game “Dating my Daughter” was banned from their platform for the exact same reason roughly 4 years ago.
The patch puts that back into the game and if it isn’t working, maybe you’ve got the file in the wrong location or the file name is incorrect (the file name has to be “mapping.xml”). It’s supposed to be in the game’s root folder. Any other location and the patch will not work.
With the patch, Julia is the MC’s mom and Amber is his sister. Without the patch, Julia is his dad’s girlfriend and Amber is the “longtime family friend”.
that’s the point..it just changes the names …it’s very clear that Julia or “Mom” is Not MC’s mother ok? it is not written that way..in dialog it’s obvious the they are Not related….and I know about the Patreon ban bs sure..they he have no right to censor….but as l said if dev. do it the other way around as writing the game as a family/ incest game and then change the name he can please both camps…..and btw only morons support patreon
Well, I’m certainly not in the position to tell Faerin where he should and shouldn’t promote his games; that’s his prerogative and what he chooses to use to earn a living is his business. I’m only a moderator on his Discord, not his boss. Having said that, the game was written to be an incest game, that’s why there’s a patch for it otherwise it’s a non-incest game (without using the patch). Your bleating won’t change that. And with it being hosted on Patreon (at least for the next couple of months before it moves to Steam), they have every right to set the rules if they want to continue dealing with major credit card companies and other financial institutions. So if you want to complain about how “unfair” it is, complain to MasterCard, Visa, American Express, etc.. Though I highly doubt you’ll get very far with that.
As far as doing it “the other way around…” Faerin is not going to add code to change the relationship instead of using a patch to do that if that is what you’re implying. You can if you’re feeling so inclined to do so with your game if you want. The patch doesn’t change the names, only the relationships with the MC. So where you’re getting this absurd idea the patch is changing names is beyond me. Open the XML in Notepad and you’ll only see Amber, Julia and Anthony listed in there if you want to see for yourself. Only the roles get changed. That’s it. It’s not rocket science.
