Misadventures of Agent Romanov is the first game of the Agents of Heels series, an Adult Interactive Fiction Visual Novel designed in Comic format.
We are aiming to combine the best of the narrative games (accurate descriptions and immersive dialogs where the user can choose between different paths), RPG’s (stat management, inventory, branches, etc.) and Comics (full-screen, beautiful renders, re-readable vignettes, etc.).
The main character for this volume is Agent Romanov, a lovely red-headed spy that takes part in risky missions with lots of action. You will have to struggle against a menacing alien force, an army from an evil corporation, inside conspiracies, and villains that won’t make your life easy.
In all those situations, you will have to decide which path you want to follow: Do you want to be the Hero that saves the day, or the Villain with unorthodox methods… that still saves the day?

– Quick Hotfix: Shower scene and any other with the same bug should now remove the blackscreen automatically.
– Optimization: Game is now 90% optimized. Almost every image is loaded when needed instad of preloading them into RAM-Memory as before. It should significally speed up loading times on older computers.

COMPLETE rework of the game core. Game is no longer a driven story but a time based story game. Move freely around the map and choose actions to progress.
REAL Save/Load feature. You now have 3 slots for you to save your progress at any given time and place. Accessible via pause menu. (unfortunately this means you’ll have to start over)
TRANSPORT system. Once per day when you go towards the city you’ll be prompted with a scene that will vary according to your situation. It’s a way to reward or punish stats in the future

Cutscenes vs Situations. Situations are actions chosen by the player, either main quest or secondary. Cutscenes are scenes that happen for being at the right moment at the right time. Both have been implanted and added.
Quest actions are “Situations” that block every other situation on the map. There’s something you have to do. There’s still missing a popup alerting the player where to go, but they are there.
Introducing consequences to actions. There’s now one action that slightly changes the text in a future scene. It’s just a proof of concept for now, but it will be available in future versions.
Introducing multiple paths. The action mentioned above is a quest action which you can resolve in two different ways.

All transition times have been at least halved to make the game flow faster.
